What we collect

RouteLog stores only what you log in the app: trip distances, pickup/drop-off labels, descriptions, expense amounts and categories, optional receipt images, GPS coordinates when you record a trip, your email address, and your tax-status preferences.

Why we collect it

To compute the Verohallinto-compliant tax deduction your courier work qualifies for, and to let you export those records on demand. Nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.

Where it lives

On Supabase EU (Frankfurt) - Postgres for the structured rows, Storage for receipt images. Receipt images are private, served via short-lived signed URLs. We use Google OAuth and magic-link email sign-in via Supabase Auth.

How long we keep it

Six years from each record's date, in line with Finnish bookkeeping law for self-employed couriers. After that the row is hard-deleted by an automated job. You can soft-delete any individual entry sooner from inside the app.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can export every row we hold about you as JSON from Settings → Privacy & Data → Export my data. You can close your account from the same screen - personal fields are anonymized immediately; trip and expense rows linked to your account stay under the 6-year retention rule and are then hard-deleted.

Cookies

Strictly necessary only: session cookies set by Supabase Auth, plus our preference cookies for chosen language (`routelog.lang`), theme (`routelog.theme`), and onboarding completion. No analytics or tracking cookies.
