What we use

RouteLog sets a small number of strictly-necessary cookies and nothing else. There are no advertising cookies and no third-party tracking cookies - we don't profile you or sell your attention to anyone.

Authentication & session

Supabase Auth (via `@supabase/ssr`) sets session cookies that keep you signed in between page loads. Without them you'd have to log in on every request. They're essential for the app to work at all.

Language preference

A cookie named `routelog.lang` remembers whether you've chosen Finnish or English, so the app stays in your language between visits.

Theme preference

A cookie named `routelog.theme` remembers your chosen colour theme, so the app doesn't flash the wrong palette while it loads.

Consent

All of the above are strictly necessary for the app to function or to honour a choice you made, so no consent banner is required. You can clear cookies at any time from your browser's settings - doing so will sign you out and reset your language and theme back to the defaults.
